Healthiest Meal
a. Tulsi is surely one of the most famous restaurants that serve Indian food in the United States of America. Visiting this restaurant was a nice experience as it offered new food options so as to quench the thirst for delicacy. Skimming through the menu card of the restaurant, one can opt for the combination of a number of dishes that would provide the healthiest meal of all. Portuguese Striped Bass as an entrée with Tadka Dal can make for a nice meal. This has to be coupled with Lime Soda as a beverage and a scoop of vanilla ice-cream as desert. This is surely the healthiest meal possible.
Tadka Dal is a dish that has the apt amount of protein. It does not involve much oil during preparation. There is less of carb in this dish. Basil, garlic, green chili along with coconut milk, naan comprises Portuguese Striped Bass. Again, this is very easy to digest with 538 calories in a serving of 160grams. It contains 55.8 percent carb. The food items are well within the recommended 130gram carb intake. RDA for protein is 0.8gram per kilogram of body weight. This meal satiates this amount.
The main dish gives a perfect combination with the dal. Lime Soda would help in digestion while the scoop of ice-cream would make one cherish the meal to the fullest.
Unhealthiest Meal
a. It is not too hard to ascertain the unhealthiest option of ordering at Tulsi restaurant. One can take a combination of Butter Chicken as the side dish along with Dum Biriyani as the entrée. Along with this, a glass of soft drink (as a beverage) along with double scoop chocolate ice-cream (as a desert) can be taken. This would surely make the unhealthiest meal of all. Dum Biriyani contains too much oil.
In a serving size of about 1445grams, it would contain around 440grams of carb making it highly unhealthy. Besides, it has 25.7grams sugar content. Butter chicken has 25 percent saturated fat content making it bad for health. It is evident that the RDA for carb is exceeded more than 300grams in this meal. Also, the RDA for protein is exceed in this case.
This coupled with soft drink with high carb content and chocolate ice-cream would make for the worst choice when it comes to healthy food. Thus, one should determine the quality and consequence of foods on health when it comes to having food from a restaurant.
Thus, it is very much evident that the first option of healthy meal meets all the accepted standards of nutrition intake. It does not contain much unhealthy stuff so as to make for the healthiest meal available at Tulsi restaurant. On the other hand, the second meal is the unhealthiest with too much of carb, saturated fat and calories. The second meal is surely meant to be avoided. While the first one abides by the RDA standards, the second one does not.
