I hereby tender my application for an internship position in your Foreign Policy Internship Program. I have the highest regard for your organization and it would be an honor for me to participate in your program not only because it will help me in my professional growth but also because I believe that I will be an asset to the program.
I am very passionate about international relations and global affairs, especially because I have witnessed the many struggles that my country, Ukraine, had gone through as I was growing up. This led me to devote my academic life to the study of international relations. I am currently finishing a BA in International Relations with a proficiency in Mandarin at the University of Exeter and I was also a first class graduate with a BA in International Relations at the National Taras Shevchenko University of Kiev. Prior to these, I have also attended and completed courses in Simferopol, Brighton, and China.
In addition to my excellent academic performance, I have gained significant exposure and experience in the field of international relations through the many volunteer works I’ve been involved in, as well as through my experiences as a Parliamentary Assistant in the Supreme Council of Crimea and as the Chief Project Assistant for the Interethnic Cooperation at Moscow. Currently, I work as a representative for Civic Concepts International.
I believe that my academic achievements and my various work experiences have helped me develop the leadership, project management, and communication skills that are necessary for a successful career in international relations. Having lived and studied in different countries has also exposed me to different cultural, institutional and political environments, which has further enriched my experience. This, too, has made me knowledgeable of several other languages.
I believe that I share your organization’s goal of securing human rights and world peace. I do feel strongly about the alleviation of human suffering, and I would consider it an honor to be a part of this great endeavor. I believe that I have demonstrated my competencies and my dedication in furthering these goals and I look forward to being given the opportunity to do so.
