Introduction
In the 21st Century, breast cancer remains one of the most dreadful diseases with effective cures yet to be discovered.
It is imperative to note that breast cancer affects both men and women hence the need for information dissemination.
It is my postulation that breast cancer, if detected earlier can be cured or managed to prolong the lives of its victims.
Breast cancer is occasioned by a number of factors some of which are controllable. Statistics indicate a decline in the rates of infection and related deaths.
Body
Breast cancer victims or potential victims ought to be informed of the likely causes. These include radiation, absence of pregnancy, family history with breast cancer and obesity.
Having discussed the likely causes, we need to consider the statistical significance at the national level.
Research shows that one in every eight women in America stand the risk of developing breast cancer. This means the exposure rate is 12% on the female population.
Further, at least 40,000 women are expected to succumb to breast cancer in the year 2014. The good news is that the number of deaths has been on the decline.
Having considered the statistics, it is imperative to consider some of the precautions advised.
In pursuing a precautionary approach, it is imperative to note that only the controllable factors would be taken into consideration.
The same include good dietary habits so as not to fall victim of obesity; exposure to less radiation and continuous checks for early detection.
Conclusion
Breast cancer remains a common phenomenal only rivalled by skin cancers. It is necessary to take into account one’s dietary habits, exposure to radiations, among other lifestyle practises.
