1. U.S. Milk Supply Chain
The problem with the supply chain of U.S. milk might affect several products. These products include milk, cream, yogurt, cheese, cakes, bread, pastries, cottage cheese, butter, and buttermilk. The industry of ice cream is probably also going to be lost since milk is the base of ice cream. The consumer might also file a lawsuit for any damages that they sustained because of the contaminated milk that came from the company. If an incident like this happens to an ice cream business, the people who contaminated the milk could lose their job or go to jail because of the crime that they committed.
2. CRM System
I believe that the CRM system will be able to help out the supply chain of milk by addressing it with the campaigns for marketing and customer service. With the communication of customers in the supply chain, they should be able to build a good relationship with the customer. The customer could communicate with the company using the CRM system and how it is affected if it is not used properly. If the CRM system found out about the contaminated milk, they will probably contact the supplier immediately about the issue so that the company could take it off the shelves.
3. Chinese Court
I agree with the Chinese court about the fact that crime does not pay. If a person doesn’t have a heart and wants to hurt an innocent civilian, then that person should be punished hard. This is a reminder for others so that history does not make a habit of repeating itself. I believe that the United States should so the same thing because we should not let the people who commit these crimes get off so easy. It is important that if a person commits a crime, then that person should pay for the crime. Once one country sees that another country has punished a person for a crime, then some of the other countries are going to follow suit.
4. Chinese Suppliers
The first example is foreign tire sales. The NHTSA suspected that up to 450,000 tires were made by a Chinese manufacturer that had a major safety defect. These defects on the tires were that they were missing the gum strip or it was insufficient inside of the tire. The second example is pet food from a Chinese supplier. The FDA issued warnings about voluntary recalls on the pet food. It was believed that the products caused sickness and deaths in a variety of different pets in the United States. The third example is toys. The CPSC alerted parents that were excessive amounts of lead inside of certain toys. The lead would cause the children to become sick because of the chemicals in the lead would be toxic if they were ingested by the child.
In the long run, the company can keep using the Chinese products if nothing happens. In the United States, the company wants a higher revenue but if it is going to cause people to get sick of die, they should look at other suppliers. Most of the time, the United States does not care about the well-being of the people in the United States because they only care about how much money they can make. We are also to blame because we want the cheaper products instead of using American made products. Most people cannot afford to buy the more expensive U.S. products, so they buy second hand products (Baltzan, 2015).
