The problem
Since the start of internet use, communication between people has changed a great deal. People have moved from sending love letters to sending emails and instant messages. Dating in general has taken a different course since the inception of online dating. Online dating has brought a different twist to relationships in the whole world as it has made the so difficult process of getting a partner so easy. Several thousands of people browse the internet on a daily basis online dating has become one of the easiest ways to meet new partners. However the success of online dating has not been properly seen with mixed reactions from all quarters. This research seeks to find out how online dating has changed the dynamic of relationships.
Review of Previous Research
According to research by the internet dating executive alliance (2011), the increased use of online dating among people has led to several changes in the dynamic of relationships. Through online dating, there has been an increase in interracial marriages, increased acceptance of gays, and the increased pickiness of singles. Single individuals are able to select wisely from a larger pool of people within the dating sites. With just the touch of a button, a single individual can connect with other singles throughout the world. This research further suggests that internet dating has led to a reduction in prostitution and the spread of diseases such as HIV and STIs.
Hypothesis
This research will focus on individuals who have tried online dating in search of partners and whether they were successful. We will then take data of those who have tried online dating and those who have not. From those who have tried it we will seek data on whether they were successful or not.

We will ask these questions randomly to people in the streets.
- Have you ever tried online dating?
- Did you find the partner you were looking?
- How long did the relationship last?
- Are you still into online dating?
- If yes, why are you still into it?
- If no, why did you move out?
