What leads to violence in America? Hate. Hate is a strong emotion that leads to death, war, isolation and cruelty. These are virtues that lead to the violence in America. This paper will look on how these virtues affected the violence in America. It will reflect this through events of media stories and history events to understand the violence in America. It will all use these events of media stories and history events to show how they contribute together and lead into violence.
Death is a subject that we hear constantly in our media. We have read stories of death through the atrocious of school shootings, shootings at Movie Theaters and death due to non material things. This death has happened at a variety of places in America; they sadly share one theme, which is hate.
Power of hate can make an individual no longer be able to see the differences between right and wrong. If a person does not learn how to conquer that hate, then sadly there will be deaths. This will sadly lead to increase violence in America. Power of hate can be seen in other forms.
Power of hate can also be seen about the biracial girl that was playing for Honey Nut Cheerios with her interracial parents. The commercial is touching. Sadly, there were countless people that disagree with that. There was a lot of hate messages in reference to that commercial because of the mixed child and parents. This type of hate reminds again of racism.
There have been countless riots in America history due to hatred. There has also been countless lynching, ends of friendship and other breaks up due to hatred. The cycle of this hatred need to be broken to heal the violence in America. This is where the history lessons of America come into play.
Dr. Martin Luther King Jr was a man that advocated peace and justice. His books and his works left footprints that will forever be marked on the history of America, justice, hate, equality and other virtues. Dr. Martin Luther King JR stated, “Darkness cannot drive out darkness: only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate: only love can do that.” This is showing the foundation of the virtues of hate and power that can lead to violence in America. Hatred is a wicked beast. Hatred can be seen as a poison. Hatred is also due to jealousy, fear, isolation and other of emotions. This power of hatred will be reflected in one of the battles of violence’s effecting America and the most top media issue. This issue is the safety of our teenagers. It is important to remember that the virtues of hate have roots that can swallow a person or concept and destroy them. Sadly in today times, school bullies have escalated due to rapid growth of technology. Cyber bulling has led to hatred and given power to the bullies to hurt their victims crueler. Sadly that has lead to suicide among many teenagers.
Not every teenager takes this path. Without the proper guidance, some of these young adults can turn into wrong directions and destructive behavior. That is why it is important to understand the nature of this beast named the hate and the power that it can consume an individual. Having the proper, adequate resources to help lessen this hate, will help bring change to less crime to in America. Every little step counts.
All this emotions and all of these events come together, and they relate to hate. A person never forgets that hate is wicked beast. We need to raise the reminders about the dangers of hate. We need to remember our history. People like Dr. Martin Luther King Jr and JFK and countless others stood against this hatred. Hate needs strong leadership like JFK. It requires diversity taught through our education systems. Sadly, hate can be learning factor from parents, friends, etc. Hate will always happen. It is the nature of the beast. That is why learning the beast can be helpful to society. Learning about hate shows how the roots of hate can lead an individual bitter. It could lead this person to the point, where they are feeling just hate. Learning also shows that these individuals become cynical and then become opinionated with the process of how the world works. Hate lead to power. Power in any form can be destructive if put in the wrong hands. Not everyone with hate leads to the same path. Regardless hatred at any level can be a dangerous. Through learning about hatred, we can help slowly erase hate. Hate will always happen, but with the right education, we can turn the virtues of hate and power into constructive virtues. This will help lead America to a brighter path.
