Movie review
For this assignment I have watched the movie Holes. The movie composition is rather interesting. The plexus of two stories that happened with a hundred years difference allowed the director keep intrigue until the very end. When watching the movie, it is not clear what will happen next. Moreover, I should admit that the ending of the movie is very surprising. In one of the last scenes, when Zero and Stanley found the treasure, everyone awaited that it would be the Kissing Kate’s treasures. Indeed, the treasure belonged to Stanley Yelnats. Moreover, another surprising scene followed the previous one. It was unsuspecting to find out that camp workers were not allowed to work with children at all.
When speaking about actors play and director’s work, I should admit that the scenes are interesting due to the camera movement. Besides, I liked the cast play. Boys expressed all feelings clearly. It was noticeable that they truly know what their characters feel. Besides, the screenplay is interesting. There are only few movies that keep intrigue all movie long. Another peculiarity of the movie is that it teaches to be merciful and take care of friends and relatives. Moreover, director, as well as actors, showed how significant it is to help each other. However, there are some features, that I did not like. For example, the difference between good and bad people was too obvious. From the very beginning, it was clear that Louise Walker would not get everything she wanted. Another feature of the movie that did not impress me was too rapid events changing in the end. Director could have allowed boys to enjoy their freedom longer.
