My personal understanding of human nature theories is that they try to show what type of person we are, and we have infinite potentials for good. Mostly, human nature guides people how to do the right thing. For instance, I believe that a real leadership happens when I have a positive impact and influence on others. Human beings learn from the environment as well as the role nature plays in our society and us as human.
It is believed that since the origin of humanity, there is an inevitable phenomenon that people will persistently be in a state of conflict. This is because of people trying to do whatever it takes, to come out of the struggle they are in and be on top victoriously and gloriously. The only thing that makes me ponder the question whether or not there is a possibility that the human race can be born evil. These have made me think of all the times I have grown up and seen bad leadership and incidents that are part of our daily life.
I believe a bad leadership and when people fail to do the right thing portrays a selfish society, a world without love, and nothing good they can do. I recall someone who was close to me, who acted as a brotherly figure made an abundance of bad choices in his life. I was younger, and he was the one I always looked up to since he saved my life and I could even trust him with my life. He changed by hanging out with the wrong crowd. He tried repeatedly and severally to push me aside to be with his so-called friends.
I contemplated what was happening and realized that the time of knowing his true nature was starting to show through. In this dilemma situation, I made a firm and bond decision of not following his path. He had changed from a brotherly figure to someone I do not like being around. This makes me wonder if environment surroundings can shape someone, and what extent this influence had on us. However, I realized that no matter how good of a person you are, your true nature would always come through.
I support Aristotle, the society makes us who we are, and without it, we would not be human. However, the self is also something we understand by the precise way we represent our natural potentialities, which vices outweigh. Making decision must be based on human nature, considering that we can be changed from good to bad. Our true human nature is shaped by our society that mostly bring a destructive potential that might result in negative behavior. I realized that everyone has negative and positive forces that affect us. Therefore, it is not necessary for me to debate whether people are inherently good or bad.
In conclusion, I believe human nature is for everybody, from the question that I specified above and I have reacted to in my views. I think, and I realize that the society does give us as individuals a way to perceive everything from another perception. In this article, I gave what I believe is about human nature, and I specified what I thought human nature is. Humans are a bundle of tendencies to activity, so human nature should be not approached by scientific methods. However, the tendency to seek knowledge and use it for self-control become typically human quality. My example with my friend show how different people could grow up together, but the society turns them out so different.
