Abstract
Management is the process of setting and achieving organizational goals through its functions: forecasting, organization, coordination, training and monitoring-evaluation.Leadership is: the ability to influence, to make others follow you, the ability to guide, the human side of business for "teacher". Interest in leadership increased during the early part of the twentieth century. Early leadership theories focused on what qualities distinguished between leaders and followers, while subsequent theories looked at other variables such as situational factors and skill levels. Other considerations emphasize aspects that separate management of leadership, calling them two completely different processes. The words manager and lider are very often used to designate the same person who leads, however, they represent different realities and the main difference arises form the way in which people around are motivated. The difference between being a manager and being a leader is simple. Management is a career. Leadership is a calling. A leader is someone who people naturally follow through their own choice, whereas a manager must be obeyed. A manager may only have obtained his position of authority through time and loyalty given to the company, not as a result of his leadership qualities. A leader may have no organisational skills, but his vision unites people behind him. Leadership and management are two notions that are often used interchangeably. However, these words actually describe two different concepts. Leadership is the main component of change, providing vision, and dedication necessary for its realization. Leadership is a skill that is formed by education, experiences, interaction with people and inspiring, of course, practice. Effective leadership depends largely on how their leaders define, follow and share the vision to followers. Leadership is just one important component of the directing function. A manager cannot just be a leader, he also needs formal authority to be effective.
Shibu’s’s paper:
. A leader is someone who attracts people naturally on their own, whereas, a manager makes others obey. A manager occupies his position of authority, through the loyalty and service given to the company, for a particular period, and does not relate to the outcome of the leadership qualities. Most often, leaders do not acquire any organizational skills, but their inherent vision binds the people around them. Leadership and management are two different entities; the manager is a career, and the leadership is a calling (Popovici, 2012).

After a thorough review of your week 2 essay assignment, there were additional areas that you used from various websites without proper quotations or citations. I understand your response to my initial inquiry was that you read the article from a website and wrote in your own words but I did not routinely find this throughout your paper. There were numerous writings by you that had slight word changes to another author's work without proper citation. There were numerous resources that you utilized that were not professional nursing resources such as your reference of Edmunds and Popovici - these are other student's papers which were uploaded to the internet. Professional nursing resources require you to use the Library to search for journal articles or nursing text to help grow your knowledge and understanding. Your paper should be written using your words and with the appropriate use of citation of resources to support your thesis and ideas.
As a BSN student, professionalism is required not only in your duty as a RN but also as a student. I do not find that you demonstrated professionalism in this assignment. I will be giving you a 0 for the assignment and per policy, I will be submitting a Classroom Incident Report for academic dishonesty.
I do want each one of my students to be successful and I will offer you a one-time opportunity to re-do the assignment, demonstrating your own work, your own thoughts, correct APA citations and the use of appropriate resources. This opportunity will only be afforded the max of up to a 50% credit of the original allowance of 150 points and will be due to me by Sunday, 2/7/16 at 12 MN CST. If nothing is received from you by the extended due date, a 0 will remain in the gradebook for this assignment
