This work of art is a painting depicting the Madonna and child. The author of this work of art is Lucas Signorelli. This piece of art in circular in shape showing the virgin seated on the ground while supporting a child to stand. The ground is composed of flowers and grass. The flowers on a piece of art includes violets, aconites, poppies and wormwood. An ancient ruin is also visible behind the ground where Madonna was seated. A circular building is also visible and clear at the background through a crack on the rock. Two naked men are also visible behind Madonna, who are playing music. The white horse is also visible gazing at the background. The paintings also shows the dove and the prophets.
This piece of art tries to show the aspects or the setting of the Catholic Church. The artist played an important role with the use of paintings in order to show the religious incarnations on one picture. A piece of art is detailed and elaborate in presentation of the message. The church setting is very clearly depicted on this piece of art. The incarnation of Jesus Christ is well elaborated with the use of the dove symbol. The aspects of humility in the church are shown with the help of the child and the virgin on the picture. The aspects relating to the death and the resurrection of Jesus Christ re well elaborated in this piece of art with the help of the flowers like poppy and wormwood. The nature of the background depicted the world before the coming of Christ to the world. The Tiffany Chapel of 1843-1933:
This piece of art shows the use of leaded-glass in designing the fireplace and the altar in the Chapel. The leaded-glass was used to make a cross at the front of the church. The combination of metals and glass with different colors were used by the artist to represent various items in the chapel. The stained glass was also used with the combination of colors in order to present the actual view of the interior aspects of the chapel. The aspects relating to texture of material helps in bringing out clear the interior designs of the church. The leaded glass lamps are seen at the altar which are used in performing various rituals in the church.
The use of jewelry and colors plays an important role in signifying the importance and value attached to the Chapel. The creativity of the artist plays a very essential role in ensuring that the real view of the church is exposed. The materials and colors used to decorate the altar were unique in order to show the importance of the altar to the Chapel. The wood seats are also visible in the chapel to show where the church members sit in order to attend to the sermons in the chapel.
The artist of this piece of art used various symbols in order to signify the importance and holiness of the chapel. Expensive materials are used in constructing the Chapel and the interior design of the chapel so also signify the holiness attached to the chapel. The creativity of the artist is evident in the presentation of the holy aspects of the chapel on the altar and fireplace.
