The basic definition of the term demographic is the study of a given population founded on elements which includes age, race, sex, economic status, level of education, income level and employment, and many others that affects the performance of an individual directly or indirectly in a business situation. Normally, demographics are applied by the governments, some corporations and more importantly non-government firms to know much about a population's features for many aims, that includes insurance growth and economic market exploration.
About me, these are the features I do possess as a marketer I’m a full time college student and I do part time job at security guard making $15 hour, I live with my parents and they take care of my bills in terms of food, house and some other necessities. The money that I do get from work I keep it and I don’t have to give any to my parents. I do have a house income in 50k I shop at big store and can easily afford things. Personally, I am a career-driven person who always admires to achieve more in life through hard work and cut the link of over relying on the family support for my survival.
The concept of the demographics of once aimed customers is vital for the success of your business. It is true that one does not only needs to understand the different demographic variables for one to be able to make appropriate decision regarding the what the products and services mixes will include, but it is believed that this data will also strike rating, packaging, advancement and place of operations.
Age as a factor affects in that, younger people tend to have adequate information concerning the new products in the market since they are more accessible to the internet as compared to the older generation. This makes them be a better part of the marketing strategies for the new products in the market. They can make the best in the process of making the product known to the public and hence its value in the market updated in different purchasing points.
The youths do have various abilities like being innovative than the older people. This is due to the facts that they are accessible to most of the resources that enable them to get more information regarding the commodities in the market. Another vital variable is the education. Most of the knowledge gained from various sectors always varies in that, the people with the idea about the business will always try to make it known to other with the aim of promoting the product for it to be known to other across the geographical area. More importantly, there is the income.
Demographic courses are still vital, as the size of different demographic groups will alter over a period of time which can be effected as a result of economic, cultural and political considerations. One of the demographic variables is the time. When the time pressure for a given commodity increases, the possibility of the purchase of that commodity also increases and normally tends to move away from the physical store and at the other end makes the virtual store which is believed to be the internet.
The products and services that I will always implement is the case of the using the factors like the psychographic factors like personal ideas, ability in terms of organizing ones audience and ensuring that they get the best products and services they need for their success. This one can be attained successfully by ensuring that their demands are attained within the shortest time possible. Marketing normally is the best way of selling the company’s products. This enables the company to maximize on the profits they make avoid the eventuality of loses. Individual advice will always help in coming up with the appropriate decision in the marketing strategies.
