Samsung Galaxy S4
After reviewing several companies, I decided to choose the company “Samsung”, and to with their rapidly developing branch of mobile devices. Once Apple proved to be extremely successful in the field of mobile devices, Samsung decided not to lose the ground in that field, and started to fight for its share of market ever since, therefore, transforming into one of the leaders on this market in the past couple years. As the field of mobile devices is quite opulent I decided to concentrate on smart phones, or flagman version of these gadgets. The most recent flagman smart phone from Samsung was Galaxy S4, which is a slight update of the previous generation of this model. Even almost a year since it was first introduced to the publicity it still remains one of the most powerful smart phones in its category, with the 5th generation of it being introduced just shortly.
As for the competition it is quite fierce at the moment as new technologies are being implemented and new features are getting patented every single day. The biggest competitor of Samsung, as of this moment, is Apple, and these two companies will stay rivals in this field for quite some time. Apple is introducing the updated versions of its smart phones every year, just as Samsung does. Even their features are pretty much the same, which is the exact reason for long lasting court cases between the two. Another South Korean company LG has been on the market for quite some time, producing good smart phones under its own name, but in cooperation with Google LG produced hit models as Google Nexus phone, which has been somewhat a competitor of Samsung, but still Samsung manages to oversell them all (excluding Apple I phone) by double, or even triple.
So, what is the secret of such a success, as Samsung is not the cheapest gadget on the market, with prices for Galaxy S4 reaching those of Apple I phone ($500-$600 range). And Samsung is definitely using the pricing strategy in order to make its product more successful on the existing market, and therefore prevent any new competitive products from the entering this market.
