Middle East is a region covering the Western Asia, Arab Countries and Egypt. Their food or cuisine could be considered as diverse due to the rich history and culture of these countries. However, there is a certain kind of homogeneity among these Middle Eastern cuisine or food. Most of their foods have common ingredients including pitas, honey, olive oil, sesame seeds, olives, parsley and sumac. The most popular among the foods that comes from Middle East are the shawarma and kibbeh. Sharwarma is a meat cuisine where combinations of beef, veal, lamb, chicken, and turkey meat are grilled for almost a day. On the other hand, kibbeh is an Arabic dish made of cracked wheat and cooked with several types of meat along with the Arab spices (Kelly, n.d.).
One of the main elements of Middle Eastern cuisine or food is the cereal. Cereals such as wheat and rice are part of the basic diet of Middle Eastern people both in the past and in the modern times. In some areas in the Arab Region, barley and maize are common. Historically, the Middle East is known to have an early civilization which uses fermentation in their food (Kelly, n.d.). They have been baking bread for thousands of years and it became part of the Middle Eastern diet. The cereal such as rice and wheat are commonly cracked and cooked with several types of meat.
The preferred medium for cooking Arab food is the smen or clarified butter. Their food is commonly blended with Arab spices such as cumin, olive and black pepper. Pork is prohibited in most parts of the Middle East due to the principles of Islam and Judaism. The most favourite meat of Middle Eastern people is the lamb. It is also the most common meat used in their shawarma and kibbeh. Kebab is also common in the Middle East. Kebab is also a Middle Eastern food which referred to as a dish of small pieces of vegetables, meat and fish grilled on a spit (Kelly, n.d.).
Beans and pulses are also common in a Middle Eastern diet and are second to cereals. Beans are commonly boiled, stewed, stuffed, or grilled and are commonly added to meat dishes. They are also eaten raw by several Mediterranean people (Kelly, n.d.). When it comes to beverages, the most popular would be the arak and the jallab. They are both alcoholic drinks.
A. Malware is malicious software which is commonly sent to other computer users in order to destroy several important programs or files. Phishing is software or bug in a computer which is designed to steal the user’s important details such as passwords and bank account. Spam is designed to send messages or advertisements which are commonly non-existent (LinkedIn Corporation, n.d.).
B. LinkedIn is a social networking service in which users are allowed to connect and create profiles which are safe from hackers and other computer viruses. The LinkedIn service reduced the intrusion of malware, phishing and spam through sophisticated security and technology (LinkedIn Corporation, n.d.).
A. LinkedIn should be good for business if properly used. In order to build credibility, pictures and videos posted on the user profile should possess information about the business. For example, background picture should provide information about the credibility of the business. In addition, videos should also be posted in order to add credibility for the user.
B. To best use LinkedIn, users should be aware of several mistakes to avoid on the social networking service. Users should not view LinkedIn as a simple networking site such as Twitter and Facebook. Users should connect to other people through professional approach. Users should not connect easily with people they do not know.
