Introduction
Human health is the first priority in a nation. Life rate and the age to reach are the factors people are seeking. In this reason, the government will give assistance prioritizing the health of its subjects. There are a lot of health insurances, public and private, that are providing from vitamins, hearing aids, dental, eyeglasses and hospital needs. However, the consumer’s needs are ever changing because of the new sickness that are developing and also the high expectations coming from the providers and hospitals where the insurers chose. In these cases, the providers and the hospitals are adjusting and coming up new ideas, collecting data from previous consumers experience and trying to solve it with these ideas.
The Cycle of Evolution
The discussion that stood out for me is the Cycle of Measurement, Assessment, and Improvement. Though it is simple, I’m surprised that it can answer all the quality needs of hospitals and insurers. There’s a lot of questions from Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HCAHPS) and the cycle can be used fluently by them to assess the future needs of the consumers and patients. The survey questions from HCAHPS can help the cycle to evolve and meet the requirements of patients, doctors, and providers from day-to-day. This cycle can help me as a patient or consumer and my doctor and my provider to gain the customer satisfaction I need and them to perform efficiently.
Let me change the questions from ‘How are we doing?’, ‘Are we meeting expectations?’, and ‘How can we improve performance?’ to ‘How am I doing?’, ‘Am I meeting my goals?’, and ‘How can I improve myself?’ these questions can assess me in improving my expenses, time and almost everything. I love my time so let us put it as an example. The first question ‘How am I doing with my time?’ and I will measure the time I’m spending on an activity and getting my timetable of the day. Then, I can assess myself by the next question ‘Am I meeting my schedule goals?’ if yes then I will loop it to the first question to measure and try to assess it again with the second question. If any changes will happen like emergency, new job, new subject, practices, etc.
Then I can improve it by the third question ‘How can I improve my schedule?’ and there will be a lot of actions to be taken but this cycle will give you organize thoughts and ideas to give you the quality of everything like time as discussed. This cycle will give you efficiency at work. It gave me an insight of how to reach the goals I wanted. The quality of life not only in health where it has been using of but actually of everything. I’ve learned a lot from these lesson blocks not only what’s happening with the customers, hospitals and providers in medical field but as well as with my lifestyle.
