In this paperwork, I am going to discuss a movie review about the Naked Spur.
The Naked Spur by Anthony Mann, (1953)-Starring James Stewart and Janet Leigh
A film most appropriate for the adult viewers-It is a wonderfully filmed, stylistic, and moralizing. The film is among the best westerns Mann made with James Stewart, whereby, the corporeal battle is in line with the hero’s personal clash.
Stewart is depicted as a silent frontiersman who ends up losing his home, while fighting in the civil war. It, therefore, becomes a challenge to him, Stewart, for he has to buy a new grubstake. Stewart has to raise enough money for the new grubstake and this leads him to becoming a bounty hunter in Colorado territory- it is the only viable opportunity that could help him raise the money. Stewart first assignment is to bring to justice an escapee recognized as killer Robert Ryan. The task was a challenge and even the presence of Janet Leigh, who is portrayed as Ryan loyal girlfriend, makes it even more difficult. It is important to note that James Stewart was to receive a reward worth $5,000 after bringing the murderer- Robert Ryan-to justice. Hence, the reward kept persuaded him to the end, whereby, he successfully brings Robert Ryan’s uncomplimentary desperado to fairness. The action takes place in the midst of the thunderous mountains, whereby, the ruthless outlaw is brought to justice (Mann, 1953).
The film perfectly portrays James Stewart (the movie starring) as that of a besieged, ruthless, and disillusioned bounty hunter who is in desperate need of the reward. Hence, nothing could have shifted his focus in bringing the villain to justice. He remained focused, despite the, numerous, challenges that came along. It is now clear, as depicted in the film that we can achieve anything, but we must not quit or change our focus as a result of the numerous challenges that comes our way (Mann, 1953).
