Awareness about Justice
The Video “Nelson Mandela: 1918-2013” is a tribute to Mandela by various religious comunities after his demise on December 5, 2013. The things I learnt about justice are:
- Justice can be achieved by peace and non-violence.
- Nations can be won without hating and seeking revenge.
- Mandela got justice to the Apartheid community and turned them into black majority to achieve multi-racial democracy.
- He joined African National Congress to provide justice to the Apartheid community for which he was sentenced to life prison.
- As an idol of peace that he was, he did not seek revenge after his release. Instead he merged the races to create a democracy.
The other video “Pundits and the Pope” describes the Pope Francis’s recomendation for the Catholic Church tocare poor people and also provid justice to the economic situation. A few things that I learn about justice from the pope call are:
- There is intolerance and emergency towards the church and the economic system must devalue everyhting.
- Poor people are defenseless human beings and thy need justice from economic system.
- Pope had provided a chance to the church social teaching, and committed to poor to see them justified in the system.
- Pope wants justice to the church by making it considerable to the economic system.
- Pope is powerful because he acts and talks like jesus and people believe in any justice given by him.
