Identify and discuss the components of an effective interview. Share thoughts on how you feel you would structure the interview process to make sure the candidate is the best fit for the organization. (2 sources and half page)An effective recruitment interview is objective oriented to evaluate the candidate over a predetermined criterion with an assured value addition to the organization. Compact training is required to make an individual proficient for conducting effective interview in the recruitment process. The interview could be structured or unstructured in nature. However, the element that determines the feasibility of a candidate for a certain position to the best interest for organization is the mark of success.
The essentials of an effective interview are the accuracy and predictions of the findings over the objectives of the investigation. In general, the task / job related inquisition aids to get an idea of the candidate’s proficiency over the criteria of job performance. At the same time, to the point questions can assist in getting hold over the legal context encompassing ethical and moral obligations.
Define the terms mentor and preceptor. Highlight the similarities and differences of each and discuss how these concepts fit into the health care environment. (2 sources and half page)
Preceptor ship and mentoring are the exercises introduced in the professional environment to improve the quality of services with shared learning and dissemination of knowledge. The two approaches are referenced in the health care environment to inhibit quality problem solving in organizations with sustainable and considerate decision making.
The concept of persortorship and mentorship can be well elaborated from the point of view of health care industry. The mentorship is the practitioner who coach refined methods and practices to junior / peer staff over the unlimited period. While, perceptorship is practice by guides for a brief period of time, until the learner is able to perform a certain task independently.
Hence, both the roles focus on professional development and coaching aspects. However, the difference can be observed in the concept that is mentorhship is long-term whilst preceptorship of short term only
