3. The theme of the lesson was “Multiplication”. I think, that the teacher did a great job, his explanation style is really obtainable, most of the students answered his questions properly. It’s a good type of lesson, because the teacher made it in the form of conversation with students, so they listened very carefully, tried to show their best in this teacher-student dialogue. The teacher explained the subject, showed the examples for pupils, and then he gave them the question, e.g. “What is the product of 4 multiplied by 5?”, then he showed them the multiplication table, it was in a form of a game, pupils went to the blackboard, he named 2 numbers, and students had to show the product on the table. Students are really good, only a few of them could not answer teacher’s questions, but he gave them another chance by giving additional questions or by giving the simple questions from the beginning of the lesson. Until the end of the lesson, I guess, even they understood the whole concept of multiplication.
4. My point is, that he needed more visual materials, like a presentation or something. I know, that there are lots of mathematical lessons made in form of the game. Perhaps, he could use the computer class, so the majority of students would be more careful, enjoyed their studying process and would have had no questions about the topic.
2. Of course, the teacher was on fire. He played the main role, but students also were proactive, tried to show their interest about multiplication thing, but this theme is, actually, easy, so it’s a really rare case, when children don’t understand the main concept of multiplication. Perhaps on the next lessons, when it will be more difficult tasks and questions those kids will not be able to understand everything, so that will be a real examination for the teacher. But as I see, this professional will do his best to get something to the mind of students.
3. More and more specialists recommend to enlist children to the educational process, give them more opportunities to show themselves. I think, that this discourse method, that was used by our teacher was really good, even more than enough. Students were in a good mood, answered a lot and took a big part in the discourse. But if there is a multimedia board, it will be even more student participation in the lesson, so I highly recommend to buy this one for the school, because as the experience shows, the pupils who work with this board complete their final exams easier than their peers.
