Types of stereotype in commercial
We can observe stereotypical commercial nowadays where women are presented as they often buy many goods and look so pretty after using them. Men can also be seen as commercial with stereotypical content. They usually advertise business goods, cars or cigarettes. This happens because we are accustomed to see men and women in familiar situations in everyday life and they do particularly the same things in commercial. It is so close to us and we believe them. As the result, people buy these products. The aim is reached.
If we speak about commercial that carry least stereotypical content it would be relevant to mention those commercial where animals are represented because they do not impel customers to buy something. Buyers take those goods according to the fact with which emotion those animals are associated.
The most prevalent type of stereotype represents women who are busy with domestic work. It is a good way to sell products with the help of which the house can be clean.
The least prevalent type of stereotype represents really natural products throughout the prism of nature itself and images that represent picturesque views.
Sometimes stereotypes appear separately in order to attract the wide range of people. As the result more people will buy that product.
Stereotypes concerning image or appearance do not always correspond to stereotypes of behavior. When we look at the person, we may judge upon his/her inner world, not even know about his/her real personality with its light or dark sides.
