Personal Marketing Plan
Executive Summary
As an international student from Saudi Arabia, I aim to complete the degree being pursued in a prestigious university in the United States. I also intend to major in Finance and eventually apply the knowledge gained from the program in global organizations based in Saudi Arabia. As such, I plan to undertake training and development in the field of finance as part of my personal and professional growth.
Personal Profile Description
I have gained a diploma in Technical Support from Saudi Arabia. Armed with the knowledge and skills that were developed through the program, I was able to work for six months in 2012 with The Ministry of the Interior in Saudi Arabia as technical support. Likewise, I had been privileged to work for one year in a call center where I gained additional skills focusing on communication, interpersonal relationships, and customer service. In addition, I am proficient in speaking two languages: Arabic and English.
My mission is to become a financial consultant and expert in financial planning. I intend to pursue higher education by enrolling in a master’s degree program after I have practiced and applied my bachelor degree in Saudi Arabia. I plan to go back to the United States after three (3) years of working experience in the field of finance.
Core Competencies
My background in technical support is a plus factor and competitive advantage in the finance field of study. Knowledge of technical aspects in contemporary organizations are deemed to be useful as an integral part of latest developments in computer and information technology. Likewise, my being bi-lingual is another advantage over contenders who share similar educational backgrounds. I would be an instrumental contributor to the growth of global organizations in terms of sharing knowledge and skills in two (2) fields of endeavors: technical support and finance.
Situational Analysis
Employment and career prospects for financial analysts and technical support have been noted to be manifesting a growing trend. This means that the prospects for professional growth for candidates who possess educational backgrounds and core competencies in these two (2) field of discipline face extremely rewarding and productive opportunities.
Competitors
Since prospects for professional growth are reported to be extremely good for finance majors and also for those who gained formal education in technical support, there are expected competitors who share similar academic backgrounds like mine. However, my bi-lingual skills, as well as working experiences gained in a call center would be plus factors that would provide core competencies and competitive advantage.
The Target Market
I plan to apply at global organizations in Saudi Arabia which would have several business ventures in international soils. There are immense opportunities for career paths in finance in Saudi Arabia and my plan to pursue higher education would even provide me with greater competencies in this field of endeavor. If and when I intend to go back to the United States to pursue an MBA program and major in Finance, I could be assigned to the organization which is an affiliate of the global organization where I plan to apply at in Saudi Arabia.
Marketing Mix Strategies
With the educational backgrounds in technical support and finance, I would have gained the theoretical frameworks needed in these fields of discipline. Moreover, my previous work experiences and competencies gained would determine the compensation due for my profession. My proficiencies in two (2) languages expand my employment opportunities in Saudi Arabia, as well as in the United States. Finally, I plan to write a professional portfolio which would contain all crucial information (educational background, skills and competencies, accomplishments, rewards and accolades, as well as professional plans) and which would be disseminated to the global organizations I intend to apply at.
Budget, Schedule and Monitoring
My education in the United States is gained through a scholarship from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. As such, I intend to complete my degree program with major in Finance by 2016. I would return to Saudi Arabia to work in a global organization for three (3) years until 2019. Afterwards, I would request re-assignment in an affiliate organization in the United States so I could pursue my MBA degree in the latter part of 2019.
