Aristotle’s final cause points to the ultimate reason for the being’s existence. Relating this to the idea of globalization, the final cause becomes the globalization’s vision. It is the ultimate reason for its conceptualization. One of the objectives of globalization is to have a global free trade. However, no matter how noble is the vision of globalization; collateral cost and damage are never out of the way. Ethical issues relating to jobs, brain drain, natural resources, health, and finance are just some of them (ehow.com). There is no guarantee that with the free trade, globalization can foster financial stability among nations. Richer nations will only drain the finances and natural resources of the poor ones. Globalization is free trade. It is a free influx of foreigners, and with it, free diseases. These are just a few of the by-products and ethical issues of globalization.
Generally, I personally vouch for globalization. Although there may be some ethical issues along the way, they can be addressed and be given proper solutions. Between the gains of the globalization and the ethical issues that are attached to it, global gains outweigh more than the ethical problems. Personally, I will have better chances to find a job taking into consideration the free trade policy.

If every being has its own final cause, then Aristotle must have also said that globalization has, too. It wants to achieve global free trade as its primary goal where it envisions that all nations will be at par with one another. Ideally, this system is commendable. However, it has also its downside because of the ethical issues that are attached to it. One of the many problems that demand a lot of concern is the issue of the environmental and natural resources. Developed and rich countries will always have a better edge than the developing countries in the exploration of the natural resources because of their advanced technology. Since globalization entails a free trade among the member countries, then the rich countries will lord it over the poorer ones. They can always have access to the poor nations’ natural resources in the name of the free trade and the smaller countries cannot refuse. This is just one of the areas where ethical issues are present. Others include the health, financial stability, job opportunities, and the outsourcing of labor supply. Above all, the issue of labor greatly affects the income inequality because the richer nations will outsource manpower from the developing countries with the lowest salaries.
Personally, I favor globalization, since we are now in the 21st century. It is unavoidable that this globalization scenario will take place. Although there may be some ethical issues that are entangled with it, such ethical concerns will only be outsmarted by the global benefits. Generally, globalization is the answer to the nations’ financial handicap. If only the free trade policy is implemented and managed well, the vision of globalization that all nations will be at par with one another will be realized.
