This paper will outline my plan to undergo a one-month training program at Qatar Development Bank (QDB). During this training, I will work in Capability Development which is a department under the Consulting or Advisory services. This department is tasked with developing the capability of entrepreneurs in Qatar, particularly in the industrial field. It fulfills this role by offering training courses in business leadership and participating in events like the Global Entrepreneurs Week . I will train under the supervision of Mr. Suaod Al Mannal, the Head of Learning. My training program will run for four weeks, from July 31 to August 25, 2016. Each working day will last six hours, from 7.30am to 1.30pm. I plan to accomplish the following during internship program at QDB.
During my internship program with QDB, I want to gain exposure into the complex but interesting world of business and entrepreneurship. I want to meet and make connections with many people in the business and management field. I am sure that these connections will prove to be invaluable after graduating. During my training progam, I expect to learn a lot more about QDB and its role in enhancing entrepreneurship in Qatar. Also, I want to learn how Capacity Development functions as a department. During this training, I will be engaged in numerous tasks such as attending interviews with Mentors candidates and developing feedback survey forms. Moreover, I will be engaged in setting up the agenda for GEW in conjunction with various sponsors and other parties. I will also be involved in updating the GEW website to suit customer needs together with evaluating the content of courses offered by service providers.
