Intellectual Standards
I had my first experience of work in summer, a few years ago. Not that the work was a real need for me, it was just my best friend, who offered me to earn some money and to have some fun by working together with him. We worked as waiters in the local café. One day, I was serving the table, where a couple was sitting. They were ordering a lot of food and after they finished eating, they paid for everything and left, but their wallet was laying on the table. Nevertheless, it was so much money in it, I decided to return the wallet, by calling on the number, which I found inside. From that moment on, the couple always left good tips particularly for me, so I bought myself so much cool stuff for that money.
In my school life, “fairness” also helped me, as I have noticed later. There was a lesson, when the teacher mixed up the results of my and my friend’s test. The gap between the marks was no drastic, but since the test was important, every point mattered. At that time my friend was not present at the lesson, so I could easily hand in the paper and not tell anyone about this. But my conscience told me to confess. So, why my act of “fairness” helped me here? The answer is that when I got home, I started looking through the tutorials once again, I all of a sudden understood most of my mistakes, so later the final test on this subject was written perfectly.
In this fourth paragraph I want to describe you an example from my personal life. So, a few months ago we had an agreement with my farther that we must go fishing. Most of the time my farther is away
In a conclusion, it is necessary to mention that the standard “fairness” is indeed important. We all could improve this standard by introducing it to other people: by advising, persuading and the most important - by showing the example. Let us imagine if all the people could be sincere and honest – the life would definitely be ideal.
