Abstract
In contemplating and pondering over the natural growth and development processes of a garden through the various seasons of growth , poet Rudyard Kipling observes that “The Glory of the Garden lies in more than meets the eye”. We can also see that a data is just an information , in its rudimentary form and it may appear as alphabets , numbers or symbols that refers to or relates to a condition, idea or object.
Therefore data analysis, is normally a process of analyzing or evaluating data, in a logical manner in order to examine the inherent components to arrive at meaningful conclusions. So the ingenuity of empirical sciences , descriptive statistics and correlational matrices cannot be substituted in order to achieve reliable statiscal inferences, but it does not fulfill the purpose in full if the primary data is not being fully understood by incorporating the authentic emotionally intelligent relationship model, where there is due relevance given to the intuitive and human aspects as well, as in deep comparison with the intellectual perspective alone!
So the wide array of quantitative techniques such as frequency distributions, standard deviations, reliabilities, correlations , sign reversals, collinearity, sampling etc illustrates the glory of a standard correlation matrix with its descriptive statistics as “ it is more than that meets the eye ” and the far sighted admonition of Sir Ronald holds good that the ingenuity in quantitative methods both rudimentary or advanced is no substitute for a complete understanding of the most basic aspects of the primary data. A more deep look at the words of Sir Ronald, (Bedeian, 2014) suggests that “ any finite body of data contains only a limited amount of information” and a good researcher is faced with the task of extraction of the “whole” of the information.
Hypotheses:
Here the onus is on presenting a research model or design ,(Matveev,2002) which has some ingenuity or authenticity in terms of its relevance in the organization and investigation process, like qualitative research that employs both symbols and words to indicate the presence or absence of a specific phenomenon, in order to be able categorize it into different types.
So it is evident that a combination of both quantitative and qualitative methodologies acts like an ‘armamentarium in the gifted hands of a business practioner’ with all the relevant tools and techniques in order to derive meaningful information that provides a solid framework from an organizational perspective!
In the current day business context, intercultural communication competence of employees working in multicultural organizations, have considerably risen as such team members from culturally different backgrounds are likely to have difficulties in understanding and communicating with each other because of the wide disparities in the cultural background and perceptions.
Although, there are a variety of specific data analysis methods some of which include data mining, text analytics, business intelligence and data visualizations techniques that holds good in many occasions, in this case the research proposal is aimed at employing an Integrated Competence Models like the Authentic Emotional Intelligence Relationship.
Conclusion :
In conclusion the inclusion of qualitative methodologies in research has got ethical considerations also as this is an intuitive approach that enables the collection of data in a more flexible, non structured way that allows for the emergence of new information and interpretations , with scope for a creative, intuitive and innovative dimension in understanding the data in a full-fledged and holistic manner.
