The use of technology has enhanced how robotic devices can interact with humans in nature. “The use of robots can be used for many reasons without the use of harm” . The technological advancement that has become of our universe allows robotic devices to be used regularly. Laws of Robots consist of three different rules. The speculative scenario of technology is represented as robots will control or take over the earth one day because of the technology. The first rule of robotic law is that a robot cannot hurt a person or conflict harm of a human being. The second rule is to follow the guidelines orders given by people. The only way a robot cannot do this is if it conflicts with the first guideline. The third law is that robots should defend themselves and provide protection unless it is conflicting with the first two set of guidelines.
In the story Second Variety, it discussed the use of robots. The robots are being used and constructed to protect the people who are left in the world. There had been a war and many towns and geographical locations were destroyed. Individuals who were left were having a hard time to survive. The group who were against the Russians has made robot claws that would protect them if an intruder came near their bunker. “The robots would kill and destroy a human” . They would get rid of the human parts and clean up the mess for the humans who designed them. In order for the people who are responsible for creating these robotic killer claws they have a device that will turn them off when needed. The core of science fiction was used is describing the claws and how they work. It is a futuristic device that could occur but it defines the laws of robotic.
