Maintaining the network.
When it comes to networking maintenance, cable maintenance tools come to mind. The first part of this paper will seek to dwell on some of these tools and find the most versatile of the tools. Some of the tools to be considered are the termination tools, cable testers, and heat-shrink tubing. Termination tools are tools that are used to cut cables. They are fitted with different blades to facilitate their work. The use of the correct termination tools increases the productivity by reducing the stress of installing the cable which creates a conducive working environment and hence increasing client confidence (Fluke Networks, 2014). The termination tools used cable be of three types: manual, impact, and multi-wire. The fitting of interchangeable blades which can are changeable according to the cabling system required is necessary. The tool will also help the technician push the wire in the slot to make a permanent connection. A newer version of the termination tools reduces the effort used by almost twice making it easier to use such equipment. The handle of some of this equipment come with cable stripper. With a cable stripper on one end, one can easily remove the required sheath easily. Another tool to be discussed is the cable tester. A cable tester is a device used to check proper connectivity of a particular cable. It checks whether the cable is properly connected and that the signal strength is of the required quality. Cable testers are, however, not versatile. For the heat-shrink tubing, they are mainly used to insulate the terminals of the cable. They are useable during the repair of cables. They seal they cable from the outside. Heat-shrink tubing expand and contract with the same ratio as the cable preventing any new breaking (Alpha wire, 2009) . That said, heat-shrink tubing are not the most versatile since the termination tools can cut, insert the wire into the slot and strip the cable.
As explained throughout the text, documentation is one of the most critical roles that a network administrator must undertake. Industry professionals commonly use various tools for documenting and diagramming systems. Systems design the network resource costs, capacities, capabilities and use levels (IEEE, 2000). As such, the use of the cheapest and most efficient means is to be considered. SmartDraw is among the best when it comes to documentation and diagramming of networks. It has a vast range of templates to choose. With the availability of SmartDraw cloud, sophisticated graphics have been made easier(Vandenberghe and Treurniet, 2006). It also the sharing of information and can be run on any operating system making it useful. The price is negligible in comparison to the services SmartDraw offers.
Response to John King.
SmartDraw is a compelling and attractive. It is intuitive, easy to use and can import documents from Microsoft Visio. It is also compatible with OSX, iOS, Android, Linux and almost all available operating system that can launch any browser. It has a lot of templates making it attractive to many users (Vandenberghe and Treurniet, 2006). The availability of SmartDraw Cloud simplifies the creation of complex graphics. Thereby, the choice of SmartDraw becomes a wise and the best option, and it is, therefore, paramount and smart to agree with John King on the selection of SmartDraw.
Business Intelligence.
Business intelligence is a technological analysis of data and presenting actionable information to facilitate any business management to come up with well-informed business decisions. As such, business intelligence helps the organization to be at the head of the pack. With proper business intelligence, an organization can hire the right crop of employees at the right time. It also reduces the wage burden by just utilizing the required labor force. It provides genuine insight and benchmarks that eliminate guesswork. Again, it reduces the information breakdowns when transmitting information. It also makes the decision-making process fast (Strain, 2016).
In any organization, the use of any technology vulnerable to many changes and effects. In the selected group, there can be systems failure which can lead to massive losses. The viewing of relevant and essential information to an organization due to systems hacks, impact the team negatively. Also, the installation of such equipment such as computers and servers and the services required for such equipment can be costly. There can also be insufficient communication bandwidth due to the rapid increase in the number of the business transaction which will lead to customer dissatisfaction which will translate to losses(Kyriakakis, 1998). It is there important for any business organization to get a business intelligence system which is tailored to suit their needs.References
