Summary
The article suggests 5 main stages on the way to improving the wellbeing and boosting the willpower. The first stage consists of having not less than six hours of sleep a night, otherwise we can feel the negative effect on our nervous system. The second stage involves a kind of meditation. It is a technique of slow breathing, which helps people stay calm and reserved. The next stage presupposes some changes of habits. It means that if we change our habitual actions, we experience a kind of challenge. The fourth stage tells about the benefit of sport, especially outdoors. The positive effect is achieved due to the fact that in natural surrounding people feel more relaxed. Sport not only helps to keep fit, but also improves our mental health and mood. The final stage underlines the importance of the regular meals, because it is a fuel for our bodies and brains. Moreover, it is a key element to all the activities.
This article comprises a set of useful recommendations. At first glance, they seem quite simple and easy to follow. Nevertheless, I can confess that I hardly follow a half of them. Being a student it is very difficult to have good sleep, to eat regularly, and there is no time for sport and meditation. I can say that the biggest part of the time I spend in stress, any kind of stress. Thus, in such a case the change of habits can only worsen the situation. Though, I realize that I will not have another chance to change my life and improve my health. I am young, so if not now than never. I consider all the stages quite important, and I will try to follow at least some of them. I guess everyone can find fifteen minutes for meditation if not for the sport. Keep calm is very important in the modern world. What concerns food, I will try to improve my eating habits. The situation with the sleep leaves much to be desired, but I will make a lot of efforts.
