The article is based on the agenda proposed by President Barack Obama during his State of the Union address during a joint session of the Congress. The article highlights the various solutions to poverty reduction suggested by President Obama in his agenda which include creating good jobs, raising wages, worker training and development, investing in children and strengthening families. Such measures if taken according to President Obama would push millions of struggling poor families into the middle class segment.
