Free Report On The Gift

It was a bright morning on 25 July, and I felt all would be well that day. There were two special things happening on the day. It was my birthday! I think maybe the sun chose to shine for it knew about my birthday or it had more to share than a remembrance. The second special thing was my father was coming home on that day. It had been six months since he went on duty out of the country and it would be great to have him around on my birthday. However, I was not sure what gift I would receive later in the day. Ideally, everyone receives a gift on his or her birthday; it is a family tradition. I have had great gifts my entire life, which I owe it all to my parents. However, there is only one gift that surpasses them all; my sweet 16 birthday gift.
I took my sweet time in preparing myself, as I had to look good for the day. My mom had sent birthday invitations to my friends and relatives, and the expectations were high. I went to the kitchen to greet the whole family though they were quite busy setting up the place and preparing food. I joined them in the remaining chores though my mom insisted I should not help since it was my day. I went back to my room to clean up since some of my cousins were to spend the night at our place. As I was busy preparing my room, I kept wondering what gift I would receive this year. Our family has a tradition; our parents always buy us presents during our birthdays. There is no year, which passed without a gift from them. Each one of us had their expectations on the kind of gift they might receive, though we did not have any input to it. Regardless of the case, none of the gifts given to me since my tender age was bad. There are countable instances where my siblings and I played the perception trick on our parents. The trick was to send hidden messages or words to our parents as a way of making them aware of what you desired.
The cloud cover and a calm cover paved way for the party, which began at 12 PM. Close friends, were the first to arrive then my relatives came later in the afternoon. However, my father was not insight. He had called my mom earlier assuring him that he will try and make it in time. The plane he was to board developed some complications, although contingency measures were intact. The news changed my mood though I had to hide it from people. It would be a bad sight to see the birthday boy is not enjoying his day. I teamed up with my cousins and friends and headed off to the nearby park. I had to relax my mind and be at peace though it was not a smart move as it showed lack of interest to those that came. Hence, we stayed for less than five minutes in the park and headed off home. The few minutes with the company brought back my morale, and I was back in shape. Whether my dad arrived early or late, the day would still be good thanks to my family and friends.
Upon arriving home, I was met with a surprise! Finally, my dad arrived. It was a plot between my dad and mom to bring down my hopes so that he could arrive in style. It did work! I was full of joy and felt the day was complete. The cake was brought out with 16 candles to mark my age. Upon making my wish, it was time to open up the presents. The first present was from my mom and dad. It was a golden watch with fine crystals in it. It was the most beautiful gift ever received, and I could not thank them enough for it. I always wanted a watch but never thought it would be such a kind. My dad did the honors of wrapping it around my hand, and he whispered a few words to me before we hugged. My siblings bought me a new PS4 game, which I was saving for long to buy. One of my uncles bought me a camera since I love photography and adventure. Guess he saw the joy and fun I had while on a family trip with them in which I was the center stage in most of the shots. My friends bought me premiere tickets to a movie I anticipated for a long time to watch.
The night was slowly creeping in, and most of the guests were on their way out. Our earlier plan to have a sleepover did not turn out to be since most of my cousins had engagements with their family the next morning. Despite the shortcoming, it still was a great time being with them during the day. We had a nice family dinner though most of us, especially my mom, was quite tired. I sat with my dad on the balcony as we talked about his trip and my studies. It was a good talk with him and he advised me on the way of life as I was soon becoming an adult.
