The tools are suitable for the target population and customizing the questionnaires to Mandarin reduced communication barriers enabling data collection from participants who were not conversant in English.
Question four
The methods used yielded reliable and valid data as demonstrated by the test of significance conducted a p<.05.
Question five
The intervention in this study was an education program designed to enhance self-efficacy on Osteoporosis, individualized supplementary handbooks, screening and individualized goals and exercise tips for use at home. The control group received general information on well being and cerebro-vascular diseases with no mention of exercise as a prevention strategy. All the allocated participants received the intervention. The intervention was effectively implemented because experienced nurse researchers were used in the presentation of the intervention.
Question six
Data collection minimized bias though the use of identical data collection tools for both the intervention and control group. Data collection was conducted by the researchers who have adequate training and experience in research.
