A descriptive theory would be a good approach in addressing the acute Cholecystitis medical condition. This theory would be of great significance due to the approach it takes in addressing the problem. This would be achieved through using a quantitative method. This is because the method looks into all the relevant details that may need to be changed in order to acquire the desired results. Through this theory, medical practitioners are in a position to carry out a survey to establish the number of cases that are being recorded in relation to acute Cholecystitis. This would help in laying the foundation to develop strategies that are required in order to acquire the desired changes. The theory involves using statistics such as mathematics in developing a possible solution to addressing the issue. Through this theory, there will be an evaluation of the amount of patients who need to be provided with the education relevant in promoting best practices and to reduce frequent hospitalization.
Using the descriptive theory, there would be the development of good strategies aimed at reducing the health complication in females. This is because, despite women being at a higher rate of contracting the disease, little education has been provided to stop the disease. This is because women lack the knowledge that is relevant in early detection of the swelling taking place (Porth, & Porth, 2011). Through this theory there will be provision of the education required in addressing the concerns that may arise following infection. Best practices involve providing the required information to help in controlling and managing the disease through proper education.
This theory would be an effective method of carrying out the changes required. The changes required should be based on the medical requirements that are supposed to address this issue. The best method to manage the conditions that may arise through infection is by surgery. This is where the infected part is removed to prevent swelling of the rest of the glands. Failure to obtain the desired results are not achieved through the surgery, the patients are advised on how to control the swelling through taking antibiotics to reduce pain. It is known that acute Cholecystitis is very painful, and non-surgical treatment is through taking antibiotics. Education should be conducted to all patients in order to reduce cases of hospitalization (Ward, 2002). Through proper education, patients will be in a position to take better care of themselves by minimizing the infection rate and more swelling of the glands. However, despite providing the relevant information on how to manage the disease, medical practitioner should make an effort in ensuring that they provide the best treatment before discharging patients. On discharge, the theory aims at making sure patients are equipped with the required information on how to manage their health condition. Patients should also be providing with the right medication on discharge. This would help in reducing the frequent hospitalization that the project aims at achieving.
This theory will be incorporated in my project through ensuring that all medical practitioners are equipped with the relevant details on how to handle the disease. Medical practitioners are in a better position to provide patients with the knowledge on how to manage their infections. This will be an effective method in preventing frequent cases of hospitalization of patients suffering from acute Cholecystitis disease. Through the theory suggested, further emphasis will be made on female patients since they are more prone to these diseases. Through following the guidelines provided, this theory will have achieved its purpose.
