Organized crime groups are people who have good structured kind of offensive activities that they partake daily. Organized crime group must have a number of characteristic as such mentioned; they have an exclusive or limited kind of membership, they have no political goals and they are hierarchical. These become so powerful when the government of the country they operate in fails to control them.
This group tends to assume the responsibilities of some of the governments’ institutions, but this comes at higher costs, thus they are viewed to be exploitative. Some of the responsibilities they mostly assume to take are like security, and particular offences like drag trafficking and man y others.
Most of the groups have organizational structures that help them make up their activities well. This structure is usually in line with their goals and targets. There are several organized crime groups in the world today because many countries have ineffective governance that has failed to control and finally root out the crime groups.
A few of the people involved are listed below; Bob Cleophas, Fredrick Kingston, Paul Macnon, Smith Hamilton, Roger Feisul, Mendel Joseph Gwen, Johan Martins, Gabriel Sean Clement, Jonathan Berez Sanchez, and Glen Morrison Anderson. The leaders of the group are; Gabriel Sean Clement, who is the head of the group and also the founder; Roger Feisul Mendel, who handles matters pertaining weapons for use including their transportation. Fredrick Kinston also known as Major, handles financial matters of the group; Jonathan Berez Sanchez generally designs the best route maps to the targeted crime scenes, and Mendel Joseph Gwen relays information concerning the groups security and the general information concerning the crimes they want to commit.
This group has been a threat to all ships coming and going out of the port of Jamaica and their nearest neighbors, Mexico and the United States have also been seriously affected by the presence of this particular criminal group. The most recent report confirms that this has been actively associated with drug trafficking, human tracking and most car theft in the United States; these cars have been reportedly taken to Jamaica via the Jamaican port (Grayson 42).
Also due to high rates of human trafficking to the United States, many security issues have been raised concerning the presence of these illegal immigrants who happen to have a good link with this criminal group. Their close linkage with this group means many things may go wrong and trying to find the perpetrators may be even a very hard tusk to accomplish because it may involve a lot of people (Mallory 10).
There has been also a concern that the group may easily recruit some of these desperate illegal immigrants, thus complicating issues about the security of the states involved. This also has been an indication that this group has been a threat regionally and not just a national issue. The group led by Gabriel Sean Clement is so organized in a way that before any crime is committed; they have to hold a meeting where important issues are looked into seriously and in detail. The meeting usually comprises the five leaders who first meet under tight security provided by their fellow members; the leader, who is, Gabriel chairs the meeting. This meeting usually takes a couple of hours, thereafter the other members are informed of what has been decided then an action plan is put in place where Gwen is put to task to look for necessary information.
Feisul organizes the important weapons to be used and their transportation to the place of final assembly before the crime happens, Berez is put to task by arranging and finding the necessary information about the location, the route map, and any form of hindrance to their mission.
In the 4th of December the year 2011, the group leader Gabriel has arranged for a secret meeting at tone of the coastal luxurious hotels in Jamaica, it is a four-hour meeting, and they are planning to commit a number of crimes in the USA and Jamaica. In Jamaica the crime group is planning to rob a multinational bank in one of its branches in the capital Kingston Town, they have succeeded to get a link with one of the workers in the bank who has access to important information concerning the bank’s operates and the security set-up.
The crime is to be committed on Tuesday the 20th of December the year 2011 at 11.30 am. The group’s leaders have also secured vehicles, which they had stolen from Mexico previously. The vehicles registration has been modified to disguise their real identity. The plan is so elaborate that the only thing hindering is the proper time for doing it.
The group has also planned to hijack one speedboat to be used as a means of carrying out crimes in the ocean. An individual they have identified by the name, Granton Cyrus Angel, owns the targeted boat. They have managed also to gather information about his operations and most importantly, they have known that he is usually a lone so on the 18th of December 2011. The group is to hijack Angel while he will be doing his business of the shoes of Jamaica’s coast, thereafter take the boat and Angel to unknown destinations where he is to be dumped.
Afterwards the group will arrange itself to go for the bank robbery, where, according to sources they are planning to steal an estimated amount of three million United States dollars. This money is to arrive that morning from an identified company, which usually makes these deposits every twentieth of every month.
The group also is to traffic eight hundred kilograms of cocaine into the United States on the same Tuesday the 20th. Thereafter a number of vehicles have been targeted in the States to stolen the next day after arrival. They are planning to transport a hundred illegal immigrants into the United states in a couple of days to follow is the first missions succeeds well as planned.
The chart shows that the key players work dependently together forming a network at the top of the group even though they have one trusted leader who ultimately coordinates all activities of the group to ensure smooth running and maintain order and discipline among the members as a team. The following is a table showing the timeline of activities (Mallory 22)
