The organizational strengths which my plan will maximises on include, the cheaper cost of adoption of a pet as compared to the buying of a new pet from the breeder and the pet store. The second important strength which i will put more emphasis on is the Piloting since it enables me to determine how my animals and i are progressing in especially the early stages of adoption. Full understanding of the animals before the actual adoption is another strength which i will thoroughly look at in my plan. In order to understand those animals with special needs and how those special needs can be met.
The organizational weaknesses that my plan will address include: the difficulty of getting the immediate and specific needed breed, inability to adopt the specific breed immediately due financial constrains and the special needs of some animals, the exceptional animals which require special attention and need which many people don’t like and finally the differences in animals especially after arriving with them at homes.
There are many environmental opportunities which my plan will take advantage of. Some of these environmental opportunities include: the large number of people who want the pet and would like to adopt them as fast as possible. The example people want to set by adopting a pet so that society can emulate their adoption process, numerous and frequent adoption events which is done by various individuals during a specific period of time, the willingness and even encouragement of people to donate the shelter, and finally the willingness of animal lovers, well wishers such as non governmental institutions and financial institutions to volunteer and even donate shelter or provide financial assistance for the purchase of the shelter and even during adoption process,
There are numerous environmental threats that my plan will prepare for. Some of these threats include: lack of knowledge and skills on how to adopt an animal by the public and the private individuals. Difficulty in mobilising the public and even the donors to donate shelters and some crucial materials and equipment for pet adoption and survival. High costs of educating the public and animals adopters concerning various responsible ways to own a pet, they also offer clinic to low income earners, and they continuously attempt to provide programs and services to increase the number of animals that get adopted hence the general public should be encouraged to carry the adoption of pets.
STEP 9.
Pest stores costs, litter box and scoop costs, Permanent identification costs and feeding costs, grooming costs and toys board costs are the major costs which are associated with strategies with my price related strategies.
Housing costs for shelter, vaccination costs, and permanent identification costs of the pet are the major costs which are associated with place related strategies.
The cost of encouraging lovers, volunteers and frequent adoption events and shows and exhibition are the major costs associated with promotion related strategies.
The major cost associated with evaluation related strategies are the cost of training public on the various methods of adoption of the pet, the unforeseen medication costs and vaccination costs.
Therefore while budgeting with the funds available I would use scale of preference whereby the most pressing cost like food, shelter, medication and water will be incurred first while the least pressing costs like permanent identification costs, training the public on the adoption techniques and many more costs will be incurred later.
Most adopted animals especially cats and dogs can live for long time, and they rarely reach their teens. Some cats and dogs live up to their twenties. It is therefore important to set up the animal adoption budget before deciding to adopt the animals. Here is a sample budget for the adoption of a cat.
Fund Source.
The sources for funds to be used in this campaign include the following.
- Financial company’s who help non-profit organizations such as the Meijer, Taco Bell and Purina.
- Consumers can also continue to donate online and at shelters( monetary or volunteering)
- Partnering with organizations that have similar values, objectives and goals.
CAMPAIGN BUDGET.
Assuming that the total budget for the campaign will cost 100,000$, the cost for each of the items to be used in the campaign shall be allotted as follows.
Explanation of the Budget.
The second most important material for campaign is the T.V. T.V will entail all the televisions Medias that the target groups like watching. The television is important for this campaign because it is believed it can attract a large number of the target group.
The third most important campaign material is the Bill boards. The bill boards will be located at a strategic place where the target group can easily be reached.
The other campaign materials which are of equal importance to the group include the social media and the online. The social media is made up of the face book, Tweeters and my space among others. We believe that most people use these social sites and therefore it will be very easy to meet most of the target group.
