The “Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and Center for Public Affairs” is a museum and library of works and life of the 40th president as well as his burial grounds. It is located in Simi Valley, California and contains artifacts, records, speeches and data from his childhood up to his political career. It was the largest of the presidential libraries in the United States administered by the National Archives and Records Administration. It is also one of the most visited museums in the United States which exhibits changing temporary and permanent exhibits. Ronald Reagan Presidential Library could bring information about how the United States was changed by the programs, decision and actions of the late former President (US National Archives and Records Administration, np).
The library and museum was dedicated for the legacy, life and works of 40th US President Ronald Reagan. One of the main features that are relevant to our class is the political views about major issues in political science. The museum contains speeches and documents which displays provocative comments of Ronald Reagan about Communism. Ronald Reagan is known for his political view of freedom for the public. Another relevant feature of the museum is the trends and changes that occur in the United States during the political career of Ronald Reagan. It shows how major decisions of political leaders could change the society as well as its economics.
The exhibits have moved me about certain issues in political administration and about justice and made me agree about Ronald Reagan’s political views. The exhibit made me realized how important Ronald Reagan in the History of the United States is. Lastly, the museum could be helpful in analyzing how political leaders could influence the society through their words and actions.
