Features of Samsung
I would like to work in the telecommunications industry, specifically the mobile phone sector, as a developer. I would like to work with Samsung Company, to develop and analyze the software that is installed in Samsung mobile phones. It is one of the largest multi-billion dollar companies around the world that is the leading in the manufacturing of electronics and petrochemicals. It is in the manufacture of Samsung phones and electronic devise that Samsung has built its name. It has partnered with other companies in the world to provide some of the latest technologies in mobile phones. They have managed to play a significant role in the enhancement and the development of new technologies that are used in the enhancement and development of mobile communication technologies which are seen to have enhanced communications in the industry. It has developed LTE networks and has also enhanced the development of CDMA, 2G, 3G and now 4G networks (Park, Park, & Kim, 2014). The company employs above 427000 staff all over the world. As a developer, I would like to get a chance to work in the computer programming laboratory in Warsaw in Poland. I would like to interact with programmers who understand the trade that they are working. The compensation and the concern for many of the professionals in the industry make it attractive and a good place to work. I am sure that the culture that is in the company will enable me to achieve my dreams of exploring the industry further.
Awareness of my duties and responsibilities
I am aware that my responsibilities and responsibilities will be to support the software that is installed in Samsung mobile phones and any other device whose support and servicing are offered online. I will also be concerned with the changes that will be needed in the mobile devices of the company. I will be tasked with ensuring that there are new technologies that will suit the company products. It will be important to understand the trends of the company and recommend on technologies that will seem to be needed in the entire process of the development process. I am aware that I will be required to correct the issues that the clients will present in their website portal and look for solutions for new problems. I will be glad to report the new problems and be part of the new solutions that will be researched upon.
Behavior befitting a professional
I also understand that Samsung, like any company, will require that their staff be professionals in their work and will be required to ensure that they are dressed in the best way possible. I understand that I will be addressing customers both online and offline. One of the professional behaviors that I will be keen is to address customers in a courteous manner. I am well aware of the fact that customers are required to be treated and accorded the best in everything that is being done in the company.
External factors
Like any industry, I understand that Samsung is faced with challenges that come as a result of external factors. One of the factors that affects the company is the competition in countries like America and China. Apple is one of the leading competitors of Samsung. Apple has a strong presence in North and South America. It is hard for Samsung to penetrate in these areas. There is also the threat that comes as a result of China and their cheap products. Also, Apple and Nokia are in the process of merging. It is an issue that will affect the company in its reputation. These are the threats that I feel will be managed and defeated with innovation and research. It will be solved in the software that will be researched and developed by the company (Cusumano, 2013).
Current industry topic covered
I am well versed with the current trends that are seen to be developing in the mobile industry. One of the issues that are seen to be developing is the cloud computing technology. Many companies in the mobile computing industry are developing programs that will enable their devices to store products in the cloud. It is something that needs to be developed further in the mobile phone market. It will help to enhance the developments and the enhancements in mobile phones. There is a need to understand the issues that surround the cloud so that they can be improved. Another issue is the security challenge for mobile apps and the use of remote storage. Perhaps the solution is with developers of mobile phone apps (Park, Park, & Kim, 2014).
Understanding the customers
I understand the customers who are mobile users and electronic enthusiasts of mobile products. I also understand that most of the interested parties of the products that come from the company are young people who are keen on using the apps. There is a growing population of smart mobile phone users. Most young people in colleges depend on Samsung mobile devices. It is an issue of concern that need to be interested in the development and enhancement of the mobile devices.
Importance of Samsung in handling clients
One thing that I have learnt for a long time is that customers need to be handled with the needed respect and courtesy they deserve. With the growing competition in mobile phone companies, I understand that any small misunderstanding with a client, or a potential client will kill the client base. It is one thing that I value.
