Free Stem For A Career Essay Sample

As a senior I just as everyone else was facing a difficult and life changing choice: which way should I take? What subject to choose for future studies? That was utterly important for my future career and I also was not impressed by the idea of leaving college or university if I would suddenly understand that I have made a wrong choice, that I have passion for another subject. So I took my time to profoundly study all the opportunities open for me. The problem actually was buried within the fact that just as other people I have the inclination to several subjects, particularly I did well at Math and learning foreign languages is easy for me. So I was confused, having interest for linguistics and seeing some nice opportunities for my future career on one hand and knowing that if I chose STEM I would easily find a job because, for instance, technology is a very popular thus also required specialty. Though education in the stem sphere requires much more effort from my side and do not necessarily 100% inspires me; I feel like choosing this path I am challenging myself if I am smart and diligent enough to gain success in this sphere because, as we all know, it is 10% of talent and 90% of daily hard work that makes someone famous and successful. Another important point for choosing STEM was that I do not necessarily have to abandon my passion for languages and I can develop myself in this direction along with study at the college/university.
So, having found the compromise and balance in my life, I can set some career goals. Although I have decided for STEM, I have not specified the particular field I would like to strike into. I only know that I have to work two or three times harder than if I would study foreign languages but for now, I am fine with it. Stem gives great perspectives in life and I truly respect people who have chosen to bind their lives with some complex science directions and I would love to see other people's respect for me in this context. My main career goal is to become the kind of an expert in the chosen area that it will not be me searching for a job anymore, but employers would be interested in hiring such an expert that I will eventually become. It may sound a bit ambitious and inaccurate, but why not? As my parents told me: the limitations are only in our minds.
