Tarzan musical play is a Disney film which was obtained and adapted from the 1914 novel which was written by one Edgar Rice Burroughs. The musicals follow a distinct pattern where the character Tarzan is raised and guided by gorillas, in the wilderness. In the course of life of the wild, Tarzan meets young beautiful English naturalists or environmentalists, Jane, and they fall in love. The initial and original aim of Jane is to kill the gorillas that indeed raised and guided Tarzan. It presents a dilemma to Tarzan because his allegiance and loyalty are testes as to whether to follow his love Jane’s intention or remain loyal.
The first and original Broadway presentation and subsequent production was done in the year 2006, which was choreographed by the experienced Meryl Tankard. It is important to note and record that the initial production ran for four hundred and eighty-six performances because of public demand. The musical seem to follow the plot and sequence or series of the Disney fill, albeit there were a few minor alterations and changes in it. For instance, Terk, who plays the female character in the movie rendition or the film, happens to be a male during the presentation of the musical. It is also noticeable that the major character of Tantor that is the elephant is also eliminated from the musical.
It is also imperative and important to note that that Danson Burroughs, who was the grandson of the original rendition. Did put together some acts of the musical so that it could be accepted in the theatre halls. For instance, the omission s of the character of Tantor was intentional by the production team and unit.
