Hewlett-Packard commonly referred to as HP is a company that is well known for technology products and services worldwide. It is based in the US and its headquarters is in Palo Alto California. It is a company that deals with different types of technology product such as hardware, software and services to the customers. The three types of employees in HP Company are the hardware designer, software developer and customer support services. Hardware designer are those involved with coming up with printers, computer monitor and system units. Software designers are those that design software programs that enable the hardware devices to work on a given operating system. They develop software drivers and other support programs. Customer support is another type of job that employees at HP do. They offer services to the employees about issues they encounter while purchasing or using HP products. This is a process that can be automated. It can be replaced by a system where customers are directed to find their solutions by clicking specific keys.
Lotus car manufacturing company is another famous organization. This is a company that started in 1948 and it is the pioneer of racing car. The company started in London and it has worldwide presence. In a car manufacturing company there are many employees and job descriptions that are carried out. There is operation manager, engineers and assemblers and fabricators in a manufacturing company. Assemblers and fabricators are some of the tasks or jobs that can be automated in a Lotus car company. Although this process can be automated, human interaction for quality assurance is necessary. Engineers are design precuts and their tasks can also be automated by using a computer system after feeding in needed entries it produces a car model. The client can even provide their description and desired car into a system and the system provides an ideal design. Operation manager is an activity according to me that cannot be automated. This is because there is a need for continuous interaction with other departments.
Mattel Company is based in South California and it is one of the top companies when it comes to toy manufacturing. The company started in 1945 and it is one of the best toy companies in the world. Just like any other manufacturing companies. There are several job description and positions at the company. Customer service is one of the jobs that employees do in the company. This is an activity where customers are given support on different issues relating to the products purchased from the company. I think production and toy design is another task that can also be automated in the company. Systems can be used to come up with designs of the toys. Financial operations where customers pay for the toys are a process which can also be automated. This means that the company can change the system of receiving the money from the sales into electronic format.
