Currently, many girls have been engaging themselves in “unsafe sex” that has resulted to STD infections and pregnancy. To mitigate the situation, the youth programs and related organization should enhance campaign against unprotected sex. Young girls should be taught how to adopt behavior and attitude that support their well being and health. There should be created awareness among teen girls about the consequences associated with unprotected and early age sex. If all this measures are well practiced, STD and pregnancy among teen girls is expected to decline.
Discussion 1
Parent talk is one of the effective measures that can mitigate the risks that are associated with early age sex among teen girls. I agree that parent should not sit and watch the behavior of their children altered and influenced by world without taking effective measures. However, I think that teen should be aware if how to practice safe sex, even though early sex is not encouraged.
Discussion 2
I agree that there should be developed awareness about the impacts of teen engaging in sex and use of contraceptives. There should be a developed education program aiming to teach and warn young girls about the early age sex. Parental guidance and advices are also acceptable in fight against this phenomenon.
Discussion 3
The most effective way to teach teens about the early sex is not abstinence but openly teach them about the consequences related to teen sex. Definitely, the cons outweigh pros and the teen is able to make a wise decision. However, parent should follow up because the concept is limited to the decision making of the teens when making choice.
Discussion 4
Teaching religion and abstinence is not an effective measure to curb the situation because; many teens are influence by drugs and think they know what to do. Therefore, the society should develop a broader measure that involves campaign against drug abuse. I think parents and the society should not be embarrassed to talk to their parents.
