Introduction
Terrorism and Kebab film shows the fictional action of complex offices in the government annoying some of the ordinary citizens. It was acted in 1992, and due to the corrupt officials and their laxity on social and political life ending in the demonstration. In the film, the crowd attacked a police officer who was seen to be of several forms of corruption and abuse of power.
How does the film portray the Egyptian Government and its representatives?
According to the movie, its shows that the Egyptian government and its representatives were so much into corruption and reluctant to form strategies for solving the issue. With the arising complaints in corruption, the people created a shared sense of belonging for sustenance and solving their grievances as they were neglected by the government himself and its officials being a bureaucratic structure. The line of communication was not transparent and free to the society as a whole making them fight against the government (Tabishat 4).
How does the film depict the relationship between government representatives and the public it serves?
The relationship expressed here is that the political activists who were living under a pressurized state of ruling needed their freedom and right of the civilians addressed such as Adil Imam who went to the government office to have an official form he could use to transfer his kids from one school to another close to his home. Later in the day, his request was assumed making him annoyed and fighting with one of the security guards grabbing his gun and fire in the air creating a panic to the public. They started screaming that a terrorist has invaded the premise which turned out to be an accidental action. In the end, a social reconciliation and equality between the normal citizens and officials in power (Metres 9).
In conclusion, the film had a happy ending after the police officers and the people in the office building realized that the terrorist they were shouting at was an ordinary man who did an extraordinary fight to have his situation solved. Films are important to society as whole as it links the existing and ruling of government and how the employed officials abused some of the offices for their personal interest. Public demonstrations were to give a positive image to the social demands of the citizens.
