Introduction
Reparation has been a bone of contention posing challenge to many including the gurus. To unravel this puzzle critical and creative thinking are necessary. Discrimination and maltreatment were incessant practices in the United States of America. These uncouth and heinous deeds led to misery of an enormous demography in the country that was innocent. During the World War II, this act of injustice was directed to the Japanese in the state who were held in confinement. The U.S congress was repentant in the year 1988 and appealed to offer the public apology accompanied with compensation fee. Based on my judgment, reparation is an operation of injustice since no any amount can march the assaults, and pains incurred. Apprehension of an apology is acceptable to the victims since it's a virtue of moral uprightness as well as courtesy.
Reparations should be banned and any attempt to deliver them brought to a halt since they make no difference to the concerned. As a matter of fact, they are a souvenir to the old scars that had already been healed and buried. This totally aligns with an English saying, ‘let the sleeping dog lie.' Compensation could also translate to increased workload for the Japanese government to trace the victims. Cost to cater for this affair could be so huge resulting to meager payment or outdoing the amount paid as compensation. The United States congress should be discouraged from disbursing reparations to the Japanese victims. Outcomes of this act of repentance could ignite a political imbalance in Japan. Release of this lump sum to Japanese leaders could result to crises based on the distribution and allocation of funds, besides, nothing paid could obliterate the sufferings subjected to the victims. Disputes amongst the personnel in power leads to the derailment of a country's economy. Additionally, it might not be possible to access each and every victim that suffered their malicious treatment. It is so unfair when some individuals are compensated, and others pass unnoticed yet they had suffered a similar fate.
An injustice would be committed if the United States' congress is allowed to offer amends to the Japanese victims whose rights they violated. This means that they would be relieved of the burden of the guilty conscience that had been haunting them. Knowhow that there is a solution to maltreatments and discrimination will elevate the rate at which these inhumane acts are executed. On the other hand, prohibition of reparations reimbursement will aid curb this challenge since human beings are never at ease if their conscience is distorted. To evade this risk, they will stay away from violating anyone's rights. Other than payments of the reparations, the cohorts to this sadistic act should be put behind bars and ensures that they fully pay for their acts. Reparation will be meaningless to the casualties since it would not ease nor erase the pain and the poignant memories of the heartrending encounter.
Conclusion
Provision of reparations should be considered as an injustice since no lump sum can manage any pain or assault incurred by human beings. However, the victims could be awarded money not as compensation but rather as cash to cater for some of their needs. According to me, baggage of the past should be deserted in the past. Culprits should coax their victims to forgive them and look forward to the establishment of peace without money consideration for future improvement. Reparations should not be acquitted freedom in order to prevent human rights violation. This ensures that culprits do not use them as a scapegoat and thus they become responsible for their actions. In conclusion, the United States congress should not pay reparations but apologize.
