Question one
The Malcom Baldrige National Quality Award is awarded based on specific criteria. Seven important aspects, which include; leadership, customer focus, operations focus, strategic planning, workforce focus, results and measurement, analysis and knowledge management of an organization are evaluated. Back in 2008 I worked for the US Army Armament Research, Development and Engineering Center (ARDEC). Based on its management and the performance, ARDEC would definitely qualify for the MBNQA award (Wine, 65).
Question two
ARDEC qualified for the MBNQA award back in the year 2007. This was a historical award that made the first defense department to be accorded an MBNQA award. ARDEC became MBNQA award recipient due to their exemplary wide range of products; these included a sum of up to 20 products, which turned out to be the best US troops’ capabilities. The company has a well trained and equipped workforce of about 2971 workers. ARDEC has growing revenue, which has increased to $ 1.2 billion in 2007. In addition, ARDEC has also been awarded for customer satisfaction. These factors made ARDEC to qualify for MBNQA award of 2007 (Nasseef, 109).
Question Three

Henry Ford Health Systems is a role model in the delivery of health care services. HFHS has been able to offer world class services due to their commitment to innovation. HFHS has developed as well as implemented strategies and solutions, which have helped in reducing unintentional harm to the patient. HFHS innovations include; the Perfect Depression Program, this is a program that addresses chronic depression based on evidence, pharmacy advantage, optometry care and Home Health Services (Wine, 120).
The MBNQA recognition of ARDEC has led to increased customer satisfaction and increased growth in the revenue. Its revenue has increased from $ 600 million to $1.2 billion from 2001 to 2007. There has been 75% technological advancement in its service delivery. The organization’s workforce engagement has improved by 84% and the workforce registered 92% satisfaction. This was way above the level of quality and productivity observed in government institutions (Nasseef, 54).
Question four
Organizational awards for product and service excellence are numerous especially in the United States. These awards could be for all the organizations or they could apply to industries. Some these awards include; HIS SPECRUM Excellence Award, Stevie Awards and Star awards. These awards enhance performance, customer satisfaction, workforce satisfaction as well as increased revenues for the award recipients (Wine, 25)
