Free Thesis Proposal About The Effect Of Economic Status Of A Country On Soccer Performance

This research is concerned with finding out how soccer performance is affected by the economic state of the country. The dependent variable is soccer performance. Soccer performance is the variable that relies on other variables that are presented by the economic status of a country. The independent variables include the GDP of the country, population, and salary of the soccer players and coaches. Countries that have strong economies often perform better in soccer compared to countries with weak economies. Funding plays a major role in strengthening soccer teams, and enables the soccer players to perform highly. Funding also motivates coaches to train the players very well.
The study will be carried out on the USA national soccer team and Ghana national soccer team. The research will be comparative so as to determine the effect of the economy on soccer performance. The economy of USA is stronger than that of Ghana. The sample size will be limited to the national soccer teams of the two countries. The size of each sample of study is approximately 30 individuals. The data is publicly available on the internet. The salaries the players earn can be found in the internet.
The research will use the cross-sectional regression analysis. The analysis will observe the effects of the independent variables on the dependent variable. The analysis will give descriptive observations on the effect of economic status on soccer performance. Salaries of the soccer players and coaches will be observed against the soccer performance of the team. The use of cross-sectional regression analysis is better than the use of time-series regression analysis because it avoids the usage of correlation assumption. The assumption is that variables develop stable relationships over time.
