Outcome 1
With today’s ever-evolving technological world, companies need to keep at par with the technological developments to be able to produce and deliver services according to their customers’ expectations. Therefore, it is paramount for the Lenovo Company’s finance, human resource and information technologies teams to get some training on the new software’s and technological advancements that the company plans to employ to be able to manage the increased workload and company’s operations in an easy and cost efficient manner.
The outcome expected from the training is that the company’s finance, human resource, and information technologies teams will gain the relevant knowledge and skills needed to be able to effectively implement and run technological appliances that will enhance the company’s efficiency in its operations. It is important for the enterprise to adopt supply chain management technological systems and solutions appropriately in an effort of improving the speed, quality, and precision of services provided by the company to its customers.
These experiences will not only improve the customers experience but are also essential in reducing the company’s operating cost providing it with a competitive edge over its rivals (Tudor, Zaharie, & Osoian, 2014). However, in achieving this, it is important that the company’s relevant employees be first trained on how they will use the systems.
Outcome 2
The company also needs to train the marketing team on multicultural issues that will help in promoting the business while at the same time helping the company in its global expansion. In the competitive marketplace, for a company to be successful, it needs to be able to transform itself to an open, dynamic system capable of producing customer-driven products and services as per the client’s demand patterns (Burton, 2005).
In achieving this, it is important for the company’s marketing team to understand multicultural issues influencing the marketing process that will be accomplished through the training process. The team will also understand the importance and ways of employing digital marketing techniques to be able to attract the right stream of customers for success attainment.
Outcome 3
In the world of today, many organizations that fail to adjust their management trends practices often end up struggling with their business growth and productivity. Therefore, it is crucial for Lenovo Company to abandon its traditional management methods in favor of the emerging effective management trends often involving technological and innovation incorporation that engage talent while improving the company’s performance.
Expected performance
Lenovo Company hopes to be one of the greatest international company’s worldwide. In the challenging and competitive global environment, it is important for the company to adopt new technological solutions and innovations by training its HR, IT and finance teams. As well, it needs to train its marketing team on multicultural issues affecting the company, and also educate the management on the emerging marketing trends to be able to attain its stipulated objectives. This will enable the company to expand its markets internationally while at the same time significantly enhancing the company’s performance in its operations, as the employees will have acquired the relevant innovative, technological, and multicultural knowledge and skills while the senior managers will be able to understand some of the management trends to incorporate into the management process.
Performance gaps
The performance gaps faced by the company include failure of the marketing team to incorporate and understand multicultural issues in the marketing process, failure by the senior managers to understand current emerging management trends and lack of skills and knowledge by the HR, IT and finance teams on how to implement new technological and innovative systems. Training the above members in their areas of weakness will greatly close their performance gap enhancing the company’s performance. When organization employees have the relevant knowledge and skills required for their daily day-to-day operations, the operational efficiency of the company is enhanced affecting productivity and performance positively (Oluwakemi Ayodeji, Michael, Tunde, & Mariam, 2011). The company’s training needs assessment, therefore, provides an excellent platform that Lenovo Company will use to improve its performance.
