My infatuation for Mathematics, Physics and Finance began when I was in elementary school. Although this area of studies is quite odd for girls, my attention was instantly hooked, and I found myself interested in different aspects of Mathematics, intrigued by the ways Physics can explain complex phenomena by simple and elegant theories and formulas, and determined to study the mechanism of monetary matters.
I have been following the chosen path ever since I graduated from high school. I showed excellent performance in my school classes, and this tendency was kept throughout my undergraduate studies in the University of Miami, where I majored in Probability and statistics with skills of R language in regression analysis. The course was quite challenging, but I enjoyed all the possibilities to develop my theoretical background and acquire some necessary knowledge in such disciplines as advanced calculate, linear algebra and other basic mathematic topics. I also have minor in Finance, which gives me a good knowledge background in accounting, corporate finance, investment and commercial banking. Having been persuading both Mathematics and Finance course, I found the great relations between these two areas of subject. I feel ready to become a well-trained business analyst, who is equipped with the essential skills to understand, manage and make us of big data in a business context. I consider business analysis to be an efficient tool on dealing with data. Moreover, the analysis tool is necessary for me to realize my ideas and short-time academic goals, as it will help me avoid being only theoretical in this field. As I have already passed an actuarial science exam of Society of Actuaries, I am well-aware of the peculiarities of these academic aspects; therefore, I believe that I can successfully complete another four to five actuarial exams before graduating from the graduate school. I am hard-working, persistent and determined; therefore I am confident that I can demonstrate an excellent academic performance and further personal and career development.
As the graduate business program in business analytics is a newly formed and does not have many alternatives around other American universities, I believe that the University of Miami is the perfect place for me. Since I am a senior undergraduate student in the University of Miami, I know that this is a wonderful place for students, as it is situated in one of the most culturally diverse cities in the world and provides its students with excellent facilities. All the professors and tutors are well-qualified, and it is a great possibility to take the experience directly from the highly-trained professionals. Obtained skills and knowledge will allow me to become competitive in my future career and significantly contribute to the development of finance, commerce and international trade. I am determined to make the best out of my future, and I am ready to put great effort in achieving the goals I have set.
I am certain, that the diverse learning environment of the University of Miami will grant me the possibility to start my graduate career and be active in as many aspects as possible in order to boost my employment credentials and gain valuable experience. I feel that I have the potential for realization myself in the area of Business analytics, and I think that my interest in Mathematics and finance, educational and theoretical background will open new perspectives for me if I earn the graduate degree at this University.
