More than 250,000 civilian Syrians have lost their lives in around 4 years in an armed conflict that started with anti-government protests and then converted into a full civil war. External involvement in the war is also increasing.
In September 2015, Russia deployed fighter jets, air-missiles and around 2000 military personnel in Syria in order to support the regime of President Bashar al-Assad. After the terrorist attacks in Paris in November 2015, France expanded its air strikes in Syria and UK also launched its air campaign as the Islamic state took the responsibility for the attack. In October 2015, US authorized the deployment of 50 special operations ground forces to fight against the Islamic state.
The intervention of Russia in the civil war had a major effect in Syria. The US has bombed in Iraq and Syria from the last few months, but the effects are minimal. The military of Syria is the major ground force that is fighting the Islamic state.
In 4 years of civil war, the civilians are living in catastrophic conditions. The highly populated areas are being controlled and handled by the state, and the Islamic state controls the expansive areas. Thousands of people have been killed in 4 years of civil war and the people are living in the worst conditions, especially the children. A millions of them are displaced from their homes and many children have lost their families.
The US involvement in Syria is not a beneficial idea and there are a number of reasons for this. One of the main reasons for this is that the civil war with Syria will not be declared by Congress. It means that the Congress has the authority to declare a war, instead of the President. If the President needs to involve its military in the civil war of Syria, then Congress must be involved in the decision. Only 10% of Americans believe that the US should involve or take military action in Syria.
As United States has no threat from Syria, so attacking there is not vital to US military services. The main job of the United States is to protect the security of the nation and it is not relevant for the country to involve in the internal affair of any other nation ("U.S. Role In Syria's Civil War - Liberation News"). The involvement of the United States does not have any specific goal. If the nation is not taking out Assad from there, then there is no point left in the major involvement of the country in Syria.
The Syrian civil war has cost thousands of lives and there is no reason for the United States to show its involvement now. There are a lot of other countries that have atrocities and its happening all over the world but showing the involvement in Syria itself has no point.
It is not sure that Assad used the chemical weapons or not. Moreover, the government of the US has a national debt of around $17 trillion and the nation cannot afford it. The involvement of the nation in the civil war is basically used as hiring criteria for the extremists. If Assad has done the chemical attacks, then Israel can suffer from the same attack if he has actually carried out the chemical attacks. Syria and Iran have strong support from China and Russia and the involvement of US could cause World War III.
US involvement is the major cause of the Syrian war today and the main culprit and the reason of the problem can never be its solution.
