When you present me a blank paper, I will look at it as a canvas that I can transform into something more than what it actually is. I consider myself innovative because I always think outside the box. My creative thinking roots from my background in Civil Engineering. Although I am exposed to construction, I felt that my background in visualizing elements is one of my assets. I was born in Uzbekistan and at the age of 17 I flew to Moscow. Due to my change in location, I was exposed to difference in cultural practices. I also learned about what encapsulates the interest of different people from a wide range background. I earned my degree in Civil Engineering from the same university. I learned a lot about the technicalities of infrastructures that is why my creative thinking was developed. I utilized my degree for two years while working in a construction company before flying to the United States.
Yes, I had to move again. Similar to my first experience of transferring countries, I had to face adjustments. I managed to adapt easily because I am a people-person and I have been living in the U.S for five years now. During my first three years, I worked as a retail supervisor and now I have entered the world of real estate. My engagement in pursuing marketing is due to my desire to improve my career. My leisure activity includes Martial Arts. My fascination with sports helps develop discipline within me. My background in real estate will be of benefit for me because real estate companies are known for their good marketing strategies. My skills in both dealing with customers and contractors will be beneficial for my graduate experience at Zicklin because the program requires great communication skills. My training in handling different types of people would also make my adjustment easier because I am familiar with diversity and differences. I can offer my technical exposure not to mention my familiarity with real estate jargons. I would like to see my ideologies turn into reality when I get a shot of showcasing what I can offer.
