I wanted to follow the visual design principles in my personal poster, with using blue and red as themes for the entire presentation. Each slide will alternate, with blue representing the Australian flag, and red representing the Chinese flag in my original poster. The title font is colored in a light grey, so that it contrasts well with the background. I have also decided to add a shadow to all the text so that it helps with the contrast as well. Blue slides have body text that is light orange since that is its complimentary color. Red slides have light green text, since those are complimentary colors as well. Each slide has wave-like designs in the background, to create a pattern between all the slides and to make the slides visually interesting. I would have otherwise just turned the backgrounds blue and red, but that made the entirety of each slide fall flat. Solid colors in the background were either too bright or too dull, and I think these wave designs add good value to the colors. I also chose the font for all text that had sarif, in order to make my text easy to read against the design of the background. Every slide has a different layout. I felt that the difference in layout keeps the presentation visually interesting, so that my audience does not lose interest. This principle goes the same with the color of the slides as well. The layouts will change between being horizontal, to being vertical, to being diagonal. The majority of the photos contrast very much from the background, with a couple of exceptions. This was done on purpose, in order to show a specific message depending on the slide.
