It charges low cost of transportation services than any other buses including train between Boston and New York. The company offers bookings even in the last minute and this enhances flexibility in their services. Their operation route is between Chinatowns and thus the passengers can easily spot great restaurants for Chinese on their way. Customers receive eTickets and an order confirmation by email after check out. The tickets are nonrefundable to avoid inconveniences of other customers. The company uses the Cost Leader Strategy to reduce incurred cost for bus services while providing customer with acceptable experience like low fares. It has also introduced two buses that offer discount services while radiating from the New York to other major cities in northeastern US. Security measures are taken care of by introducing security wands in buses. The two discount buses are fitted with Wi-Fi and outlets for equipment to be plugged at each seat. The company’s past coaches have nicknames and this makes it familiar to its customers. Greyhound has introduced a fleet of buses that captures wider market compared to others. In addition, the company’s brand has greatly been established by the artists in the mass media through songs. The bus station function as the rail station or/and terminals for other buses servicing the cities and their services are secondary compared to others within that same location (“Greyhound Lines” n. pag).
