This paper provides a platform for goals setting capitalized on a visionary plan. According to the weighed strategies of plan, the basic goals set in this case capitalize on both the long and short term goals. In addition, there is a provision for transition goals which serve to offer a stepping stone to the main goals. The goals are further classified as personal, academic or career oriented. In order to provide a comprehensive touch, goals are evaluated based on their measurability on values. Based on this case, my long term personal goal is focused on acquiring an owning a car. In addition to the personal scope, my long term academic goal is to obtain a BS in Radiology. My final long term goal deals with career and entails becoming a licensed and certified Radiologist. So as to comprehensively expound on all these goals, step by step analysis of each goal is shown below.
Personal Goals
My long-term personal goal is to acquire and own a car. Owning a car would enable me acquire a better living standard based on the ownership utility. In addition, personal car would make it easy and relatively flexible to drive the family out for dinner. On major value associated with personal car is factored on time economy. With the use of a personal car, one escapes the problem of having to wait for public vehicles which may not be flexible. The intermediate personal goal is to start of the search for an affordable car. The measurable route towards attaining the intermediate goal in this case is to venture into the news adverts to know the prevailing car market prices. My short term goal is to start saving money. In order to achieve this, any available little amount of money should be factored in for savings. The only challenge towards acquiring a car is that it is expensive. In order to overcome this challenge, repayable bank loans would assist.
Academic Goals
My long term academic goal is to acquire BS in Radiology. Radiology course is only at the Valencia College to the professional standards. The value attached to this goal is that it is my best course and so I would feel academically satisfied to practice Radiology. So as to excel and achieve this goal, the closest intermediate goal would be to keep studying so as to pass all my classes. The measurable route towards attaining the intermediate goal in this case is to work very hard in studies so and get good grades in exams. In short term basis, my academic goal is to accomplish all the required courses needed for BS in Radiology course. The measurable route towards attaining my short term goal in this case is the attainment of academic documents of course completion. The main challenge in accomplishing my academic goals is inadequacy of fees. In order to overcome this challenge, I would venture in to seek for scholarships.
Career Goals
My long term career goal is to become a qualified and certified Radiologist. The core value of this goal is pegged on working at the hospital. Based on this profession, I would live to save lives in the hospitals as well as encourage patients to be hopeful during their treatment period. The intermediate goal towards achieving this goal is to start seeking for a job. The measurable route towards attaining the intermediate goal in this case is to dropping my CVs to some of the most potential employers. My short term goal in this case entails reading of job related articles so as to know more about Radiology. The measurable route towards attaining my short term goal in this case is checked by proper understanding of the articles. The main challenge would be unemployment. In order to overcome this, I would offer myself to start working as an intern volunteer so as to prove my competency.
